Armin Assinger had a long and successful career as a professional skier, topping his achievements in retirement when he became an even more successful and beloved TV personality. During his professional skiing career he won 4 world cup races. After his retirement in 1995, Assinger immediately switched sides and started his career as a TV commentator and analyst for skiing races for Austria’s ORF. Since September 2002 he is the host of the “Millionenshow” (“Who wants to be a millionaire?”).

Over the last two decades, Assinger has been decorated with various awards, amongst them the Golden Romy no less than three times as the most popular TV show- and talkmaster. Furthermore he has published the books “Wo die Komantschen pfeif’n” and “Auch Sieger haben Angst”.
