Privacy policy

The data compiled by us is saved for reasons of contact. Except for the IP address (Google Analytics), no data is forwarded to any third party.

To help make this website work properly, sometimes small files are created – so called cookies – and stored on your computer. This is common with larger websites. A cookie is a small text file, which is left by a website on your computer, tablet or smartphone. Thereby, the website is able to remember certain input and settings (e.g. login, language, font size or other preferences) for a set period of time, so you don’t have to set these preferences new every time you visit the website. (You can get more information at https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/cookie-usage)

These cookies are not essentially necessary for the website to work. The analysis is executed by Google Analytics, and it is thus required to forward data for this purpose. This data is comprised of the IP address and a randomly generated unique number.

Google Analytics uses the IP address to show the website operator from which country, region and city the website user hails (aka “IP geolocation).

_ga: This is a randomly generated unique number to identify a user. It is used to determine if consecutive website visits come from the same or different users. This cookie is stored on your device for 2 years.

_gat: This is a logical value which is used to limit requests to the Google Analytics server, so that at least a minute has to pass before new data is sent to Google Analytics. This cookie is stored for 1 minute on your device.

_gid: Just like _ga, this cookie is used to identify a visitor. This cookie is stored for 1 day on your device.

Opt-out: You have the following options to prevent the storage of cookies and thus the usage of your data:

1. The most secure option is to change your browser settings so that cookies are not accepted. You can find more information at the website of your browser company.

2. Install the browser add-on “Browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics”. You can find it at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This add-on prohibits the storage of cookies by Google Analytics.

You can manage and/or delete cookies at will. How is explained here: www.aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies stored on your device and set most browser preferences so that no cookies are stored. In this case you possibly will have to change the settings manually each time you visit a website and have to put up with possible detraction of some functions.
