BOSS Vienna Padel Open: expectations exceeded

After the successful premiere in 2022, the BOSS Vienna Padel Open were able raise the bar in its second edition.

After the exciting men's and women's finals the organizers were more than happy: Expectations were exceeded, more than 15,000 fans flocked to the Steffl Arena last week. "Last year there were 10,000 fans, we hoped for a significant increase - we succeeded. Thanks to the entire team for their tireless efforts, such an event can only be a success thanks to numerous helping hands," says tournament director Dominik Beier.

Measurable growth

The growth is measurable and noticeable. "The atmosphere in the hall was consistently great. International studies say that  1.5 spectators come per spectator from the previous year. We have achieved these numbers. You can tell that many fans are already very knowledgeable and know the players. We like to take this positive feeling with us."

The feedback from the players is also extremely positive, he said. "They appreciate the short distances and the all-round service. Several players have confirmed that it is the best tournament outside of Spain. We are particularly pleased with this feedback."

At the end of September, Beier and his team will be hosting the BOSS German Padel Open in Düsseldorf, the first WPT tournament in Germany.
