"Ischgl Trophy" celebrates its premiere in December

The Ischgl Trophy is creating a new sports and lifestyle brand starting in December 2025! From December 11 to 13, 2025, the VIP exhibition tennis tournament will take place for the first time at the Tennis Center Ischgl. Participants include Thiem, Haas, Fognini, and Mischa Zverev.

The short tournament, which takes place during the ATP off-season, has prize money of €100,000, seating for 1,200 guests, and live TV and streaming coverage. Both current and former tennis pros, such as Dominic Thiem, Tommy Haas, Mischa Zverev, and Fabio Fognini, will be serving up their best shots. A total of six tennis aces will participate in the Ischgl Trophy in two groups of three.

The venue, Ischgl in Tyrol, combines alpine lifestyle, exclusive entertainment, and sporting achievement. The Ischgl Trophy is now a new highlight in Ischgl's calendar, which already boasts well-known events such as the “Top of the Mountain” concerts, which bring world stars to the Tyrolean mountains. Held at the start of the winter season, the tennis tournament also sets a new sporting accent outside of classic winter sports.

"The Ischgl Trophy is a unique opportunity to expand our diverse range of offerings with a high-profile international tennis event. We are very much looking forward to hosting the tournament and thus adding another highlight to the winter program – an event that underlines the diversity of experiences Ischgl has to offer and meets the high standards of our international guests," says Silvrettaseilbahn AG CEO Günther Zangerl with satisfaction.

Tennis action with Thiem, Fognini, and Haas
Highlights on the courts will be provided not only by the charismatic Italian Fabio Fognini, but also by Austrian tennis idol Dominic Thiem and the German duo Tommy Haas and Mischa Zverev, who will show at the Ischgl Trophy that they are still at the top of their game with a tennis racket.
“With its alpine backdrop and perfect infrastructure, Ischgl offers a stage that is unmatched in tennis. The combination of winter sports, lifestyle, and a high-class tournament creates a unique experience – for players and guests alike. It is precisely this special mix that makes the Ischgl Trophy something extraordinary,” said organizer Edwin Weindorfer at the event presentation.

A varied supporting program is also provided during the Ischgl Trophy: a hut evening and a gala with high-quality cuisine showcase the diversity of the winter sports resort. In addition, the slopes of the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun are already inviting skiers, and the wellness facilities at the Silvretta Therme Ischgl invite visitors to relax.

A tennis clinic with Tommy Haas, a ProAm with professionals, and a ladies' exhibition match round off the sporting event. “Ischgl has always stood for extraordinary experiences – with the Ischgl Trophy, we are proving once again that lifestyle, entertainment, and top-class sport can be perfectly combined,” said Alexander von der Thannen, chairman of the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourism Association.
