Dominik Beier joins e|motion as Managing Director

Former Interwetten and Sportradar executive to further support e|motion groups growth

New member of the team at e|motion group: The leading sports marketing, events and consulting company announced that Dominik Beier will join as Managing Director at e|motion management based in Vienna. By getting the 29-year old on board, the company sets another big step to strengthen their strong market position within sports marketing, events, athlete management and consulting as well as aiming towards expansion into new business fields and digitalisation.

Dominik Beier has recently led one of the leading iGaming operators, Interwetten, for almost 2 years. Together with the team there, he managed to achieve the best two years of the company’s history due to a high focus on digitalization, marketing and expansion. He is supposed to share that knowledge and experience at e|motion and develop the company together with one of the founders, Herwig Straka.

„I am very much looking forward to the new challenge and exiting projects at e|motion. I have a long business relationship with Herwig Straka which was always on a very high level of respect and appreciation. It is great to see what e|motion group has developed over the past years, especially within tennis. My aim is to further build on that great basis, strengthen the core business but also develop new business areas within digitalisation or consulting.”

After several stops abroad and finishing his studies, Dominik Beier started his professional career at SPORTFIVE in Hamburg. 2013 he returned to his home town Vienna to join LAOLA1/Sportsman Group where he developed the sports marketing and digital marketing business. After several internal promotions he took over as part of the management team of LAOLA1. Since the takeover of Sportradar, he additionally acted as Global Head of Advertising & Sponsorship Sales where he served over 100 betting operators with his team. He was part of the founding team of Sportradar ad:s and helped to create a new business field within Sportradar. In the beginning of 2019 he joined Interwetten as Speaker of the Board and led the iGaming pioneer for almost 2 years. Additionally he is Vice-President of the Austrian Handball League since July 2018.

Herwig Straka, CEO and founder of e|motion: „I have known Dominik Beier for a while now. Beside his excellent knowledge in different areas, he is a real team-player and a very entrepreneurial manager who works hard to achieve common goals. Having him on board, e|motion group will create new opportunities within the digital space, new media and cross-media marketing which gets more and more important. e|motion group has used the difficult year of 2020 to invest into new events, such as the bett1 tennis events in Berlin and Cologne or hosting the ATP-500 event in Vienna with stars as Dominic Thiem or Novak Djokovic. Getting Dominik on board is another proof that we are very actively developing the company into a bright future.”
