e|motion brings Davis Cup back to Vienna

After an 18-year absence, the Davis Cup is back in Vienna. Austria will take on Belgium this September at the Wiener Athletiksport Club (WAC), aiming for a place in the Final 8 – with e|motion on board as co-organiser.

Vienna will once again become a major tennis stage in autumn 2026: on 18 and 19 September, the KURIER Austria Davis Cup Team will face Belgium in the decisive qualifying round. The tie will be held for the first time at the historic WAC in Vienna’s Prater, where a temporary stadium for around 4,000 spectators will be constructed.

Following their win against Japan, Austria is targeting a second consecutive qualification for the Final 8. The return of the Davis Cup to the Austrian capital has already generated strong anticipation among fans and stakeholders alike.

The event is being organised by e|motion group in cooperation with the Austrian Tennis Federation. With its extensive experience in delivering international events – including the Erste Bank Open – e|motion aims to create a vibrant tennis atmosphere in the heart of Vienna.

Tickets can be purchased here. Backed by strong home support, the Austrian team will be looking to capitalise on home advantage in their bid to reach the world’s top eight nations.
